03/03/22 p.m. 47:13 run in RCP (4-5 mi). More than 4, less than 5. Had to run through the bloody tunnel - they still have the gate closed for the bike trail, despite having the car gate open this evening. Am not best pleased at that. Run went fairly well, though started feeling a hot spot on my right arch on the last bit on Piney Branch. No run yesterday; went dancing instead the night before in St. Louis.

03/03/19 a.m. 32:57 run in RCP (3 mi). Legs were definitely feeling all the work I did this weekend! A trifle sore, but still kept up without difficulties on the full three mile run. My card has been charged for the 5k on the 29th, so it looks like I'm set for it!

03/03/17 21:47 a.m. run in RCP (2 mi) Humid, damp, lovely. Good run, warmish weather (50s), shorts and a long sleeve T, which was almost too much with the humidity.

03/03/16 1:25:39 p.m. ride to Hain's Point and back.

03/03/15 p.m. 43:52 run in RCP (~4 mi). Long run today. Shorts, long sleeve T, low 50s. Very good run, no stopping, didn't feel exhausted at the end. Again, was very steady feeling, no drops in energy, even at the usual "20 minute wall" I tend to hit. Took it easy, still finished in about 11 minute miles.

03/03/14 a.m. 22:21 run in RCP (~2 mi). First run that has felt "steady" in a while. They were clearing the trees that had fallen into the trail on Piney Branch Parkway this morning as well. Saw some mallards. The steadiness allowed me to pay more attention to my surroundings. Was good to feel that way on a morning run. Sub-freezing, so hat and gloves came out this morning.

03/03/12 a.m. 22:01 run in RCP (~2 mi). Good run this morning. Cool out (tights), but not overly cold. Some frost, but no big deal. Ran outside, obviously, which is harder than the treadmill (colder air, the running surface doesn't force you to move, etc.). I think I signed up for a 5k in 2.5 weeks, but I'm not sure - have to contact the company today because their site screwed up the last step.

03/03/10 p.m. 20:32 treadmill run (2.0 mi). Cold out again, so rather than complain and bitch and moan about the cold, I decided to do so about the treadmill. Was a good run, good, fast pace, got a negative split. Signed up for the Rock & Roll Half Marathon, so now the training for that begins.

03/03/08 a.m. 33:10 run in RCP (~3 mi). Good run this morning. The last 3/4 miles was a tad slow, but I did well the rest of it. Shorts, snow, clear trail (for the most part). Ran into the Frontrunners on their Saturday long run, which was fun. The turn around at the gate is still closed, though whether from snow or security is unclear. Once that clears out, we'll see.

03/03/06 p.m. 20:35 treadmill run (2.0 mi). Got up, looked at the still-present snow and the fact that it was raining, and headed straight to the treadmill. Got the nicer one, so it was a nice, fast, flat run this time (the other one makes you pick a pattern of hills and flats). Run went very well, was nice to keep on a steady pace. I think I'm going to give the trail another week to melt and clear - that last run was just too, too wet, even for me.

03/03/02 p.m. 20:00 run in RCP (~1.5 mi). Again, snow, snow, snow. Much warmer, though (mid-40s) so was in shorts this time, and there was melting snow and mud and water everywhere. Ick. Trail's still not clear, so was back and forth between that and snow banks and the road. Whee. Soaked my feet, so the shoes will have to dry a day or two, but otherwise wasn't bad. Was a hard workout, even just the 1.5 miles, because of trudging through snow. I'm thinking of signing up for the Rock & Roll Half Marathon late this summer. We'll see.
